Huntington Beach, CA — Today, Huntington Beach City Councilman Joe Carchio announced his endorsement of Michelle Steel in the 2nd supervisorial district run-off campaign. Carchio was a candidate in the June 3rd Primary.
“Naturally, I am disappointed that I did not make the runoff,” said Councilman Carchio, “I am very excited that a candidate of Michelle Steel’s integrity and ability will appear on the November ballot. I urge my supporters and all the voters of the Second District, to cast their ballot for Michelle Steel for Supervisor.”
Michelle Steel received nearly 48% of the vote in the June 3rd Primary, more than doubling the second place finisher. Steel won every city in the 2nd district and enjoyed broad support from local community leaders.
“Joe Carchio ran an honorable campaign and is a respected public servant. I am very grateful to receive his support,” said Steel.
Michelle Steel has been endorsed by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, the Orange County Taxpayers Association, Congressmen Ed Royce and Dana Rohrabacher, Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, District Attorney Tony Rackauckas, four of five members of the Board of Supervisors, and nearly 60 percent of city council members in the second district.
Elected to the California Board of Equalization in 2006, Michelle Steel serves as California’s senior-ranking Republican constitutional officer. A successful businesswoman and renowned taxpayer advocate, Steel represents all of Orange County.
